Okay, only took 10 hours to download the raw. I’d like to take this opportunity to talk about how much I hate the internet connection in this country. It’s utter rubbish. It also took many, many hours to encode because VirtualDub was being, hmm, fickle. In the end, I got a real encoder to encode it. Hopefully, the video quality looks better this episode.

We’ll probably need to wait for the next episode before we can confirm what Taisuke does with Kotonoha and how. It certainly implies that he started undressing her while she was standing there in shock, but whether that’s meant to imply that he goes all the way, or the episode just ends there, well, as I said we’ll have to wait for the next episode.
I’m also interested in what Setsuna said at the end of the episode where she basically thinks out that if you never meant harm, and no one ever asks, does that mean you can do whatever you want. Does this mean that she’ll try to jump Matoko behind Sekai’s back before she goes off to France?
If so, then I think we can probably guarantee that Hikari will get her piece of Makoto before it’s all said and done as well.

I never been so mad and pissed, even though its only an anime….ahhhh damn itou such a player, i really hate those kind of guys, taking advantage on a girl’s feelings. No, it comes out on sept 4. Actually more like 5th since it airs after midnight. If things go well, the subs will be out every Wednesday. The majority of the time is actually spent by me downloading the raw. My connection is that bad.

Well, we have this project with #umai, but apparently that has completely died because no one seems to care.
Himesama Goyoujin is still being done atm. 5 and 6 are in the works.
LGC i’m unsure. I’m not very interested in translating that. So that may stall indefinitely.
Atm, I have no plans other than School Days. When something easy and fun appears in the future, then we can decide.
Thing is, m33w doesn’t have any native Japanese translators. So, we’re limited to animes with simpler speech. Harder stuff can be done, but I cannot do it in a timely manner as my Japanese knowledge only goes so far.
Initially, when m33w was founded, our policy was to release only high quality stuff, time wasn’t a factor. However, that didn’t work out very well as we no longer have dedicated special effects artists. Stuff simply never got released. LGC never got released because of trivial problems like a logo, switching to DVD encodes, typesetting, etc. Personally, I’ve switched to a more minimalistic style, so that episodes actually get released. Afterall, the most important part is actually understanding the show, right?

Well, I’m not sure what the ONAs are about. We’re probably going to ignore it at the moment. The amount of active staff we have is actually quite minimal. So, I’m reluctant to increase our workload any further.
And no, the show airs at 1am my time. Raw appears about 5-6 hours later. The download takes like 10 hours. Then we work on it for like 4-5 hours. Then it gets encoded and released in an hour or two. Of course, according to Murphy’s Law, whatever can go wrong, will go wrong, so unexpected delays can happen. Let’s pray it doesn’t.

Well, according to the fansub Pukiwiki last time i saw, School Days was 12 TV episodes + 3 OVAs. My guess is that the OVAs will actually be Summer Days, but that’s just a guess on my part.

Setsuna forces Makoto to break up with Kotonoha, as she was with him while he broke up. Kotonoha accuses Setsuna to be in a conspiracy with Sekai, and threatens to reveal the kiss. Setsuna kisses Makoto making Kotonoha think that they are together. Later, she goes to Makoto’s house to find Makoto sleeping with Otome. She tries to get them to split, and Makoto gets on top of her. She tries to resist at first, and then consents as long as Makoto swears to break up with Otome. Sekai sees the video as Kotonoha’s bullies are screening it, and sees Makoto. She tries to track down Makoto and runs into Kotonoha on the bridge.

Ok, I don’t know Japanese too well (I have very basic vocab down), but after watching episode 10, it appears that we descend several levels deeper into hell (we entered the gates of hell about 3 or 4 episodes before. We’re just going lower into it now)
Also, I think the ending of this episode strongly suggests that we’re going to get an ending different from one of the 3 bad endings in the game (I haven’t played the game, so I don’t know how all the scenes play out, but I don’t think it went like how it went in the anime)

I’ll write a review of this on my blog once they release the sub of episode 10 and I can download and watch it, but as for the ending, after seeing episode 10 raw, I have two theories of how it may end:
1) Sekai doesn’t last 2 minutes into episode 11 and Kotonoha almost certainly stabs Matoko, and possibly Taisuke and, if she finds out about her, Otome as well.
2) Sekai and Kotonoha gang up on Matoko. Otome is in grave danger in this scenario as well, as well as Taisuke.
Setsuna is probably safe as she’s out of the country now unless she either comes back, or Kotonoha goes on a worldwide killing spree in theory (1).
Of course, I could be totally wrong, but those are the two directions I think it’s heading as of episode 10.
rollchan -> I think I saw originally that it was going to be 13 episodes, then I saw 12. Moon Phase says it’s 12 episodes long, anyway. If you have a more reliable source (not wikipedia) that says otherwise, then post a link to it, cause as far as I know, it’s only 12.

How is there a void for the last 2? I think plenty of things can go on. (or am I just not understanding you?)
First off, Matoko hasn’t hit up Hikari yet. Since he’s slept with everyone else (sans Kotonoha), it’s almost inevitable that he sleeps with her as well – of course putting her in grave danger as well in a “Kotonoha goes berzerk” ending.
If Sekai does indeed get the knife at the start of episode 11, and it is strongly suggested that she will I think, since that scene is strongly reminencent of the Kotonoha-kills-Sekai ending in the game except that Matoko isn’t there, I doubt that Kotonoha will go after others right away, as she’ll probably try to get with Matoko again now that Sekai is out of the way (and given how he is, this could easily lead to Matoko sleeping with Kotonoha).
Of course, if Kotonoha finds out about Otome, she might knife, or otherwise dispatch, her as well, and Hikari too if she hooks up with Matoko as well, and I haven’t even gotten into Taisuke in this post.
If Matoko continues to rebuff Kotonoha, either because he’s still not interested (heck, his girlfriend would have just been found murdered) or because he finds out Kotonoha did it, I would tend to expect a Kotonoha-Matoko murder-suicide ending.
I think that’s more than enough to take up 2 episodes worth.
