Episode 02 is finally out after a month-long delay (not by us, by the animators). In case you don’t know what this show is about, it’s an alternate ending to the Kimi ga Nozomu Eien TV series. It was hailed as one of the best anime soap operas, because of its great storytelling and high amount of angst and drama.

I must admit that I shed a tear watching this episode because of what Mistuki had to go through. I was a big Mistuki fan, btw. The next and final episode is slated for summer later in the year. Enjoy.

The original Kimi ga they managed to end in a manner that, while made you feel bad for Haruka, was a much better ending than I thought they could pull off. It’ll be interesting to see if they can write Mitsuki out of the picture without ruining the ending.

Thanks m33w, awesome job, as usual!

Something caught my eye. At 8:13, is Tsujimura watching what I think shes watching on the televison? The time in which this series takes places matches up.

    Yes she is.

It is September ’01 in the anime after all.

I even noticed it on my first watch-through.

Why was the copyright in the end 2007?

Well the series was made in 2007, but the time in which its set it, well assuming you watched the first series, 1998, and then 2001.

Hmmm, I think I may have misunderstood your question Warlord. Umm, the copyright is porbably 2007, even though this was release in 2008 because the first part came out in 2007 and the copyright probably covers all three parts.

What made me sad in the other ending was when Mitsuki couldn’t take it anymore and broke down, that was the beginning of a pitifully overrated novel. It was refreshing but boy was I shedding a tear or two myself, especially when the old “guy” friend wanted her body so much. He does not even care to think twice in discerning between her normal-happy-going self and the dire state she was in. All that was on the “guy’s” stupid little head were simply a single pathetic phrase: “^&$%! her”. Casting aside my bias opinion, I sure thought it was a remarkable end, although my favorite character loss the duel for love.

*come on guys, i’m thinking in my anime side of the box, not real life in comparison to the outline of the story. we all know mitsuki would’ve taken the trophy in that role. love can barely grow into a bond like that… or maybe i’m the one who needs a head check? ugh, maybe i have lost all sense of judgement for real life matter. -sniff-*

…But never fear, for the remake of an alternate ending has appeared!

In Response to 17. Joe gallahva

Post Traumatic Stress Disorder can do weird stuff to you, I have no personal experience in it, but I’m sure it could make a girlfriend of two years get trumped by the girlfriend of one month.

    For everyone’s information:
All of the main characters in the OAV and the Original show clear signs of PTSD. Akane has the hyperactive kind that makes her try to overachieve and push herself really hard.

Takiyuki on the other hand in the original has the depressive kind and in the OAV he has the obsessive kind.

This episode was really entertaining, although this episode is just a conversation filler or more of a recap of what happened from the 1st season, although I really liked it because it filled in some plot holes that were in the 1st. It’s funny, during season 1, I was rooting for Haruka to be with him. Now in this OVA, I really wished that he would just come back to Mitsuki like it intended from the 1st season.

Although in the end of this episode, he officially stated he was going to be with Haruka, so I’m doubting my wishes will be fulfilled. Ah,it’s depressing when you don’t get the things you want, but I really hope for the best!

    @About School Days DVD-RAW

Are you planing to release School Days episode 12 with the DVD-RAW. The voice and timing is still the same, but there are some different cuts, red blood and you can hear the searching sounds when she is searching for the baby in the stomach.

This episode sucked. If they’re going to make an OAV they shouldn’t have recap be 1/3rd of the entire series wtf? Thanks for subbing it though!
