Well, in case you haven’t already figured it out, the disbanding thing below was an April Fool’s joke. I’m happy to learn that a lot of people do care though.
Anyways, presenting our first release of the season: Itazura na Kiss. It’s a classic shoujo manga story about the cold-hearted genius, Irie Naoki, and the bright-eyed airhead, Aihara Kotoko. In my opinion, the artwork is very nice and Kotoko is very well drawn. (She’s the brown haired girl in the screenies below)
Also, thanks to all those who voted for the fonts in the baka-wolf forum. We’re using the winning font, One Stroke LET, for ItaKiss. It looks quite nice in my opinion.
Please download the release and give your opinions and feedback about the show and such. Our releases are available in two flavours as usual, SD sized xvid-avi and HD sized h264-mkv. There’s no HV logo on the broadcast, but the video is still extremely sharp for some reason. Thanks.

I knew they weren’t disbanding. It’s like the licensing thing, u have too wait to c if anything else comes out. I was really worried tho, when they didn’t release anything for the week.

Maybe you wonder, why some people download the AVI. I only speak for myself. I prefer Matroska (MKV) because it has support for chapters (very nice for safely skipping OP/ED), soft-subs, individual fonts and so on. Unfortunately, my current machine is too slow for H.264 above DVD resolution. Personally, I’d really prefer if the low-res versions used MKV too, I don’t need AVI containers. Just to let you know.

kotoko vs naoki these eps are going to be so funny. Awesome font choice for the OP karaoke; it really suits the series. This series is going to drive me crazy since it’s so long. Waiting for eps will be a pain.

Was nicely surprised when I found out that there’s an anime adaptation of this lovely manga (I recently started re-reading the series, and JUST found out about this)! Hopefully it stays true to it 🙂

Ahh, I’m such a sucker for these types of shoujo animes. Too bad Irie is so mean. It’s a real shame that the mangaka died back in 99′, she had so much going for her.

Itazura na Kiss raws are not so good, especially borders… I think this anime was maked in SD but they did upscale for HDTV and they only put text credits in HDTV (Credits in Opening and Ending). Anyway, this reminds me such Marmalade boy :lol:. I’m waiting episode 2 subbed :D. Thanks a lot, m33w and Bakawolf.
