    First off, I would just like to thank you guys for doing a great job of subbing.

    Unfortunately, as a series Special A, is just getting to be so annoyingly boring & unrelatable that it would’ve ended just fine if they had a “Nice Boat” ending. Thought I would get past the Plastic Man/Stretch Armstrong way that their limbs are drawn, but storywise, it’s just leading nowhere! The main guy should confess & commit seppuku already!

    Sorry for the rant, but man it’s just friggin’ boring. I still like Itazura na Kiss so thank goodness.

    The DDL link should work correctly now. The forum thread somehow got renamed so it’s different now.

    And you guys are right, Special A unfortunately wasn’t as good as we had expected. The jokes aren’t as sharp Maid Guy for example. Blame tun for choosing that show. Now we’re stuck with it for the next 5 months.

    Itakiss, luckily, turned out really well imo. Although the story is relatively simple, a little cliche, yet it’s really fun to watch. I guess 23 volumes of manga and 2 live action dramas is proof that Itakiss would turn out all right.

    Can’t have it all unfortunately. 🙁 Special A was below expectations, but Itazura was above expectations, so they even out. Besides, we couldn’t leave Special A to Onibaku now could we? Rozen would probably only be on episode 2, if that, by now.

    Special A… my god ;-;
    It’s just boring, character designs are like… lol… Failed ripoff of ouran, but hey… at least they tried!

    Good job though 😀
    Might watch it… if I’m REALLY bored

    I know you guys were bombarded nonstop for Vampire Knight, but I really wished you would’ve taken it instead of Special A (should’ve been Mediocre A IMO). So far, the most fansubs have only made up to episode 2 (out of 5) for x264 versions. Shoku-dan does great work & I’m grateful for that, but there’s still this nagging feeling inside me that x264 would look better & you also have the option of turning off subs. You guys have great encoding & fast turnarounds when it comes to translation so you would DEFINITELY overtake other fansubs even if you were late in the game. It seems that they take weeks & quite possibly even months to come up with HD versions.

    Some people say S.A. is good in manga form, but since Gonzo has an anti-Midas reputation of turning anything to turd, this is the unfortunate result. Thought Druaga had potential since ep 1 was good as a sci-fi comedy, but they veered off course on ep 2 & suddenly went to drama mode so I stopped watching. Heck, at least Dragonauts had fanservice (gravity defying boobs), but S.A. is so special…in an Olympic kinda way.

    Hope you guys will reconsider. I know you guys are bogged down with your projects & life already, but going through 19 more episodes of Mediocre A is just absolutely pure torture of boredom & so much suction that an F5 tornado doesn’t even stand a chance! How could they possibly justify giving this POS 24 eps when great titles like Myself;Yourself, True Tears, & Shigofumi only had 13 & 12?! Wasn’t your acceptance of S.A. conditional anyway? If you guys polled people whether or not to drop S.A. in exchange for Vampire Knight, I’m sure you’ll get an overwhelming response.

    I’ll be satisfied even if it’s just dialogue subs w/o karaoke (I shouldn’t sing anyway; I’ve been banned internationally). Hate to sound selfish, but it can’t hurt to wish a little since I know others are craving for that possibility as well.

    @ohtheirony:
    1) Vampire Knight is already being subbed by groups that we feel are good and established (Ani-Kraze and Ureshii). One thing we don’t want to do is contribute to the problem of oversubbing a series. The only way we would step in is if the staff likes the series, and if we feel that the current subbers are not doing a good job and/or are too slow. Ani-Kraze and Ureshii are both slow, but the other two conditions aren’t met.

    2) Vampire Knight isn’t the kind of genre that we do. We focus on shows that are more geared towards romance or daily life. That kind of anime tends to get neglected by the fansub community so that’s where we step in. Plus, that’s what our staff enjoys. Fansubbing is only worth it if you like the shows that you sub.

    3) We don’t want to drop something that we’ve started. It reflects badly on our group and it disappoints the fans of the show.

    4) Special A might have been a let down, but we still like the show. We realize that any potential development is gonna take a while, so we’re being patient with it. Plus, how can you not love Akira? <3

    5) We prefer to have two primary projects each season. That's the only way we can sustain a relatively fast release pace. Adding another one is just gonna slow us down. We already have a summer side project in mind, so I don't think we'll be adding Vampire Knight or any other show during the spring/summer season.

    tl;dr - No, we're not gonna do Vampire Knight. I appreciate it that you think so highly of us to recommend it to us, but we can't do it for the reasons stated above.

    To put it shortly, we can’t drop because we have a reputation to protect. Plus the staff don’t mind the show. We didn’t take Vampire Knight because, one of the reasons – we knew many other groups were picking it up.

    Either way, we have a good reputation of reliably completing projects on time. (Don’t ask about Koharu btw. That’s a bit of a disaster) Also, if we drop, the only remaining group is Generation Next. They’re still new, and I hope they can improve. A menclave joint had plans on doing Special A too, but, perhaps they changed their minds.

    Even Rozen was planning on doing it as well, but they take on too many projects for their own good.

    I understand & respect your decision. Swallowed poison, too late for antidote now;) Many claimed VK, but unfortunately nobody delivered…on time, that is. Just wishing, though. I’ll just drown my sorrows on Geass, Macross Frontier & Kure-nai (xess apparently still isn’t convinced that it’s good for some reason from his last comment).

    Who the hell is Akira again? Nevermind…I don’t want to know anyway; it would only waste my time googling or watching it again;)

    To make up for the S.A. disaster, could you guys call dibs now on Nodame Cantabile Pari-Hen (Nodame Cantabile: Paris Chapter)? I know it’s still on Oct, but might as well be prepared now & not let tun step on a poo landmine leaving us with bad tastes in our mouths for months. Friends don’t let friends pick crappy anime. LOL

    Just Koharu Biyori? What about Himesama Goyoujin? That went under the radar, never to be seen or heard from ever again.

    Regarding Koharu and Himesama, those were projects before our revival with School Days. The staff that was working on those shows really isn’t around any more.

    Hey hey now, I know Special A isnt the most awesome show of the season, but its not quite as horrible as some of you are saying ;.;
    I really like it anyhow and Im not usually one for these types of shows. Im just incredibly happy to hear that m.3.3.w wont be dropping it 😀
