Thanks to this episode, I was able to get back to my college sleep cycle (going to sleep at 5am, yes that’s a good thing). Like I said in the previous update, we switched to a transport stream source and the picture quality is much better now. We had to increase the file size for the h264 version to 200MB in order to accommodate the bitrate needed to encode it. This shouldn’t be too much of a problem since this will be a 13 episode series (I think). Anyway, please enjoy episode 05.

As for Itazura 18, we hammered out the script tonight thanks to the help of our medical expert, ilikefood. I’m hoping we can get it QC’ed and encoded by tomorrow evening, but no promises.

Oh and one more thing. We switched over to Nyaatorrents tracker since people were having problems with Anirena. Let us know if you have any problems with Nyaatorrents.

Incestmango wanted me to mention that Natsucomi in Episode 4 should have been Summer Comiket.

Thanks for the feedback on the torrent trackers. We’ll go with multi-tracking next time.

    Thank you so much for the release!! I’m looking forward to the evening now ^_^

    By the way do you plan to rerelease the first four episodes with the TS quality?

    And I’m really disappointed about the Anirena. I do like it and it works smoothly for me, while I experienced troubles with nyaatorrents few times instead…

    Agree with elle about the switch ๐Ÿ™ nyaatorrents always seems to be down every other day, for me.

    Thanks for the episode though, I’ll get it as soon as nyaatorrents decides to stop messing around with me.

    Thanks for the release – Can’t get it though (I can’t access any Nyaatorrents sites these days, including their hosted ones). Hopefully someone bangs this onto Datorrents or anirena or something.

    Thanks for the show as always, great job. Oddly enough I don’t like this show for the female lead(Haruka is a bit boring, I like my 2-D girls a bit on the tsundere side) but for the male lead because hes the first guy in one of these things that I haven’t wanted to beat within an inch of his life.

    tun, a suggestion: Some people seem to have problems either with AniRena or Nyaa (both works for me but I also don’t care because I use IRC), so how about making the torrent multi-tracker? This works wonders on other torrents I’ve seen.

    Frown at nyaatorrents. Its ok for smaller stuff like episodes but I would rather have my balls hit with a sledgehammer than ever try to download a whole series from it again. Took me 2 days to get the last 5% of a torrent.

    @FSM – multi-tracker is fine, but you need to be able to download the torrent file to start the torrent, and if it’s on Nyaaa I can’t get it. I have a feeling that it’s my new Tiscali connection – seems they might be blocking all the Nyaa sites…

    Update – good news for those having the same problem as me – the torrent file has now been mirrored on Isohunt, and it seems that it will connect to the tracker ok in the torrent client even if you can’t connect to Nyaa directly.

    great anime, but I wonder if i can get the script for all the episode (.sub, .ass, .srt) any kind is fine with me.
    By the way, mIRC doesn’t work with me
    could you provide the script as well
    (if my English is bad, don’t blame me).

    while episode 5 is
    [m.3.3.w] Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu 05 (H.264) [869D6C0A].mkv

    Thanks, funny ep! ๐Ÿ™‚

    @Harimau – they split for reasons that you may hopefully find if you follow tun’s directive…

  30. I would advice not to use multi tracking.
    Some clients choose just 1 instead of announcing to all backup announce URL’s (random choosen).
    AniRena might be a good solution to use, as I’ve disabled the anti-anti piracy thingy on it.
    Too many people we’re compromised with it, so I am investigating it how I can use it without problems.

    Reason why I started AniRena, was because of all the spam-attacks of certain sites like Nyaa and Box… Scarywater is just crap since they use old software which they probably will never update.

    My 2 cents ๐Ÿ™‚

    @Harimau:
    I seriouly that there will be a re-release of episodes from any series, as the transport stream works best when the episodes are actually aired on Japanese television. If it’s not aired again, well.. we can’t expect a re-release.

    Anyway, great episode! Finally got to watch it earlier this evening after letting it seed more than 8 times the file size :p

    And I see that the “sponsor messages” weren’t cut out this time like it was in Special A 18. Yay! ^_^

  35. Soichiro
    10:59 pm on August 13th, 2008

    I don’t see why the sponsor screens are so important to some people. Nobody reads the credits in the OP/ED, so why would anyone care about the sponsor screens? Sure, there are a few shows that have fancy text related to the show or something on the sponsor screens, but Special A isn’t one of those, so I’d rather save about 10 minutes of encoding time (yeah, filters = slow) and cut them out. Honestly, you’re not missing anything. -_-;
