The episode you all have been waiting for, the exciting Megumi episode! You have to pardon my typesetting as I did it kinda haphazardly. Our typesetters were both on holiday, so I had to do it myself. There were over 20 signs, so I wasn’t going to do them frame by frame to look pretty. So, just ignore the ugliness of the moving signs. Plus, I couldn’t figure out how to squeeze stuff into the small board she holds up at times, so I just placed the TS next to it using ThaEagle’s template.

Anyway, it’s a great episode. Enjoy.

tun edit: If you’re wondering why Megumi’s voice actress sounds so familiar, it’s because she also did Isurugi Noe from True Tears. šŸ˜®

Yeah but its strange that the h264 release is larger than the xvid release. After all, the file size is the main reason I download the h.264 release. But of course I’ll still download it for the better quality.

  26. For those of you asking about the larger file size, its due to a different source being used. We longer use the crappy raws that we used in the past. And with the increased quality of the raws we need to increase the size of the files to keep the quality intact.

But trust me, every mb is worth it.

Is there a timing error in this?
When she reveals to the two guys that they are going out. Cuz the audio is off from video for that short period of time for me?

    7:21 pm on August 17th, 2008

joseff: I looked at that scene and there is no timing error. It could be a problem on your end; it’s probably an incomplete/corrupt video file, or some kind of decoding problem. Try updating your codecs and making sure that you have the complete file.

  32. Hikari is like this when you she gets a fever. xD
If she’s not stressing about anything, she can be this crazy when she has a fever.
Thus she is weird in this episode.

    Haha!
The manga was funnier coz it was only Akira, Kei and Tadashi who visited her at that time.

Akira and Tadashi were out and Kei was left to take care of her.
She keeps going to where Kei is at and Kei is force to bring her to her room, holding her like a princess. xD
Kei is only forcing himself to calm down, thus he used Hikari’s punching bag. xD
But at the end, Hikari won’t stop going down from her room so Kei sat down and she laid her head on his lap. Poor Kei coz he has to calm his nerves and not do anything to Hikari. Hahah! xDD But he was definitely enjoying it when she was near him. Hahaha! xD

I’m not complaining or anything. I’m just interested in why the h264 version is larger than the xvid version. Doesn’t h264 have better compression?

  40. sarc
    10:41 am on August 19th, 2008

I have to admit that itā€™s stupid and surprisingly bearable at the same time. Hereā€™s why:

    1. The reason that Megumi says she loves Yahiro is basically so she can cockblock him from threatening Akira & Tadashiā€™s relationship. WTF?!
    2. The reason why she doesnā€™t speak is to save her voice for singing. Come on, I thought that it would be something meaningful like she was traumatized or something. How shallow.
    3. The SA is supposed to be an elite group of students who are supposed to be super smart. How come nobody realized that she shouldā€™ve sang at a far away distance so it wouldnā€™t be boomingly loud? She should speak with Prof. X so he could counsel her into using her Banshee-like mutant abilities for the good of both human & mutantkind. LOL Since Yahiro is the one that noticed it, does that mean that heā€™s an ultra-mega-super level geniusā€¦of common sense?
    4. Though the Hikari side story did absolutely nothing for this ep, the attempts to humanize Yahiro was good & there were some ā€œgood feelyā€ moments.

It seems that everyone seems to be hooked upā€¦except Ryuu. Who knows if he prefers animals over female companionship? lol From the preview, it seems that itā€™s going back to Jun, who has the latent ability of Eros, the creepiest Avenger.

I forgot to add that Yahiro is an environmental hero. Think about all the trees that had to be cut down if Megumi continued buying sketchbooks so she can communicate in her lifetime! Etch-a-sketch turns out to not only be a childā€™s drawing book, but also an effective form of communicationā€¦for Megumi, that is. lol It wouldā€™ve been funnier if heā€™d given her a keyboard connected to a voice box (ala Stephen Hawking).

Neziak, the reason the H.264 is larger despite the fact that H.264 compresses better is because of the increased resolution. Since the H.264 is at 1024×576 while the XviD is at 704×400, the H.264 needs more bitrate to compress the video. Before with the old raws, the same filesize was adequate because the detail was nonexistent in the raws, but with the new raws, detail exists, and so we need more bitrate to compensate.

@sarc, the hikari side story does have a meaning for future episodes. At least in the manga it did.
