Nothing much to report about this one. It’s basically all fan service, as you can tell from the screenshots. There is one minor TL note that we would like to mention, but did not include in the episode for various reasons.
It’s basically a German title for young and unmarried ladies. The Wiki says that it isn’t used any more though. We hate TL notes and try to avoid them as much as possible, and especially when it’s for non-Japanese words. Our reasoning is that a normal Japanese viewer probably wouldn’t know what Fräulein is, so at least you have the benefit of seeing the subtitle and being able to Wikipedia it later.

Fräulein simply translates to Miss in English; still used in many contexts I think.

Fräulein is considered old-fashioned. You might hear some old geezers use it, but that’s about it.
Official documents used it too, but that has been changed in the 70s because of “equal rights” stuff.

Sneddon, me too. But I thought that there would like around 25 episodes, judging from the novel covers, to where we are in the anime. I’d really hate it, if it ended with only 12 episodes .. 🙁

Think there are 13 episodes, which is way too short imo. And yes, Shiina could be Luna’s twin. Guess it’s getting hard to develop new characters^^

You might want to stop direct linking to the torrent
file on box. Because the torrent files are unique for
every user so the linked torrent file will most likely
not work anyways.
And if you check the stats on the m33w-fansubs account
they are closing in on a ratio of 0.5. Which is odd
since the account was probably meant for uploading.
I am assuming people have been leeching on your account

AWWWWW….one more episode. I felt a pain in my stomach when I read that at the end of the ep. All I can say is you guys did a great job with the series and I thank you.

Yeah, it seems that most people know what fraeuline means, which was the reason why I didn’t want to put a note for it. Then, we would look pretentious, teaching people stuff they already know.

Fräulein isn’t use anymore, cause it indicates an unmarried and(!) young woman. But since young woman can be married and some older woman cannot, its just out of place. But this is a big disadvantage, since the germans haven’t a word for waitress anymore which fits a restaurant. So you can see germans flipping or using other methods to get the attention of a waitress. It doesn’t sound stupid, it IS spupid.
Sometimes the evolution of language is just dumb. -_-‘

no there really is no prob when go on restaurants..there are many other words for, most what will be said is “Kellnerin”, “Bedingung” (Bedinung says also same when it is a man, and the other is “Kellner” for mens)

On the ‘nods to other anime’ notes:
The music that is played when Yuuto meets his German competition is ‘From the New World’- anime fans might recognize it from the ‘Luffy beats Crocodile’ scenes in One Piece.
Maybe a nod to the show, maybe not….?

Really appreciate and look forward to the subs. You guys are doing a great job. This has been a terrific series. A nice change of pace from everything else we normally get. By the way, since it’s based on the novels, alot of “relationship” stuff was omitted and order of events changed. Really too bad since they could have easily made 24 episodes. I guess they can always go back and flesh out the characters, give Yuuto some more girls to deal with.

You can say, but it doesn’t fit. Thats my opinion. “Bedienung” is dismissive, while “Kellner” is a little bit like an errand boy. Just my 5 cents.
