More lovely reverse harem goodness here. Episode 02 was pretty amazing. A must watch.

Also, even though the piece of paper in the episode says ‘mellow’, we are pretty confident that the correct English spelling is merrow. It’s a bit hard to trust them when they have words like ‘rabyrinth’ in there. And the cheque was written for ‘five pounds’ instead of ‘five hundred’. I suppose five pounds is a pretty good sum over a century ago, but still… Anyway, I’m sure the cheque will bounce.

Well, here’s our review of episode 02:

<ichigo69> sure is naked bishies in the ED
<tun> last scene is hot
<tun> edgar and lydia
<tun> oh god
<tun> so hot
<tun> there’s just something perfect about two beautiful people having sex

Oh, and there are apparently some differences between British and American punctuation styles. But, at the same time, this distinction isn’t very true because major British media like BBC use both. To me, it’s still simply personal preference.

I do not actually see much differences between BrE and AmE. However, both forms of english are technically recognised in all parts of the world. Well, from what I know, only the spelling and some grammar is different between the two forms of english. The only major difference I can differentiate is the use of words such as college. In america, college is used to refer to a part of a university. This has brought about confusion in BrE users who thought that college(Pre-University Education) is basically an institution between High School(Secondary Education) and University.

Other differences include the use of punctuations. Say, the Americans tend to write Mr., Mrs., St., Dr., while British will most often write Mr, Mrs, St, Dr. This rule of not using a fullstop if it is not the end of a sentence by the British is called contraction. Other examples include the use of quotation marks. The Americans tend to use (“) to mark a quotation and use (‘) to mark another quotation inside the quotation. This is also true for the BrE but in most cases, BrE does the opposite by using (‘) first followed by (“), especially in newspapers and formal published books.

As for pronunciation, Americans have their slang while British have their Received Pronunciation. The use of stress on emphasis of words are also different but that is mainly due to their own accent. Standard english has been standardise such that speaking standard english means reducing accent, such that foreigners can understand what one is conveying.

    @nana

*raises eyebrow* I’m Canadian as well, why would we need a separate sub stream, if it’s already in English? If anything, M.3.3.W’s adapted use of British spelling should feel more natural to us, since we actually use British spelling here (ie. “favourite” instead of “favorite” “colour” instead of “color”).

500 pounds then would be about $300,000 today – so a decent amount of money, I would say.

Thanks for the sub as always, and I totally agree with the ED! Lots of boys in bed, mmmmm<3

Haha, the animators sure did make quite a few spelling errors. 5 pounds seems a bit cheapskate and making it a bounced cheque, are you so penniless Edgar?XD

Thanks so much for the quick release!^^

  23. Aw my eyes ^^ (the ED). It almost felt a little wrong to be seeing Edgar and Lydia in bed together.

    Thanks all.

BTW i’m american and I completly understand why you are sticking to the British english. No problem with me.

For the Canadian fans, just add “eh” at the end of the sentence & that should temporarily make them happy, eh;)

WTH is a spankey? Is Mannon a typo since the map says Mannern or is it just a Japanese misspelling? ANN & IMDB lists Makoto Yasumura as Huskly. Can’t get confirmation from main website since he’s not apparently a main character.

How come some are hot & bothered by the half naked bishies & Edgar & Lydia in bed together, didn’t they notice the pussy?! Get your minds out of the gutter, I’m talking about Nico so no R+V bat necessary to censor it. lol

    BTW thanks for subbing.
