We have a new encoder for this project, and the transition process added a day to the release schedule. Anyway, enjoy. Telepathy Shoujo Ran 19 and 20 will hopefully be out within the next upcoming days, and then we will be taking a break for Thanksgiving.

    Sweet releases. I have a small favour to ask.
    I was wondering if one of you could just release SA episode 13 and 14 with the karoake that you guys added 15 onwards. It just feels weird. I understand if you guys think this is too stupid for you guys to pay attention to.

    Love the releases!

    We no longer have the raw sources and scripts to re-encode it. Sorry.

    soo……. uhm, i know Ayako’s staff have been busy lately, i just wanna know what’s the status on Rosario Vampire.

    Episode 6 has to be edited by tun, but he’s on vacation for the next few days. Episode 7 and 8 haven’t been translated by Ayako yet.

    That’s the status on the topic of our staff channel… I really don’t know.

    Very awesome, I downloaded and om-nommed the first six eps yesterday and really loved it. This timely release is going to give me something good to watch after this Circus Maximus is done.

    And lol@Chihiro’s fans calling their Chaos;HEAd releases the best. Just thought it should be said that anybody with any sense should know which is best.

    Disclaimer: I know there’s no competition, but it isn’t hard to tell which is the best.

    “Deleting m33w’s and keeping this one right now.
    m33w lost me when they made “sono me dare no me” “Whose eyes are those?” rather than “Whose eyes are those eyes?” to make it easier for people to understand. It ALWAYS annoys me when subbers just change things to the way they wish it had been.
    Oh well.”

    Well, I don’t want to make a fuss about whose being the best but I think this guy’s post is too much picky and of course, rude…If he wants the other’s subs, then he should GTFO here.

    Protip: Subtitles are SUPPOSED to be easy for people to understand.

    Idiots seem to pop out of the woodwork these days, don’t you think Zieg?

    My advice for people who get annoyed by subs is to learn the language yourself. This is serious advice too, not sarcasm or anything. Something is always lost in translation, so learning the original will help improve your enjoyment.

    Very true xess, but subtitles are supposed to be concise. ‘Whose eyes are those’ and ‘whose eyes are those eyes’ mean the SAME DAMN THING, but the first is simpler.

    As my old math teacher one said…

    “K.I.S.S. Keep It Simple, Stupid.”

    Personally i have no grips about chihiro, but if a more prefered group is subbing i usually go with them. That said cant thank them enough for some of the shows they have done, especially the ones others had dropped, like ToLove Ru, Zettai Karen Children, and Kono Aozora. Also enjoyed Penguin Heart, and Sekirei.

    Seen this is projected for 12 episodes, and its coming along nicely, but im just wondering anyone know if there is a second part/season to this, or will it all be wrapped up for episode 12.

    Thanks for the great episode, or should i say another great episode. Well time to get ready for work now, so no more anime for me til tonight 🙁

    Just checked that site that gave values, said shinsen 101k, DB 480k and eclipse 115k. Though i dont knwo if its while i went to DB to get there website address, i saw a press release of Naruto being dropped, do to Viz and Crunchyroll showing the in the near future, if that is the case i expect there value would drop, to around half of what it is now, not bad from really only doing one show.

    Anyway cya later

    Naruto doesn’t matter to me. Dattebayo could have avoided that move if their more seasoned staff members took the decision to drop Naruto before Shippuden or whatever its called started airing.
    So tun’s away, lucky dude, gets a vacation while I’m stuck at home subbing Shugo Chara!! Doki for a few old boys whom should have out grown the show already.

    I don’t care what group subs what, all groups are doing us fans a service so don’t knock on any group. Of course I’m going to watch M.3.3.W over Chihiro if they both sub the same anime.

    Thanks for the excellent work as usual.

    xess is totally right. I never thought it was important to learn what was really being said before, I just kept the audio on for sound effects. After 5 years of watching anime though I’ve learned differently. I can’t speak Japanese at all, and I have very little knowledge of sentence structure, but I do understand many words and phrases and I’m getting better all the time.

    I’m noticing more and more subtle meanings in the dialogue, where the text would say “” but I’d know from what they’re saying “that could mean this and maybe that too!” from where I’d heard that particular phrase used before. I still need the subs to understand a lot but it’s great to understand more of the subtle meanings that can’t be compressed into a text file.

    weird side effect… I yelled at someone in Japanese totally unaware of it last week and he retorts “WTF was that!”

    @this nonsense:

    Oh well.”

    the direct literal translation is “those eyes, whose eyes (are those)”. how can you troll about something and translate it completely wrong, and geez, m.3.3.w already explained the reasoning behind picking the way they did it…

    Well, that’s the fun part about translations. Everyone may have a different interpretation or take on a particular sentence. Some are better, some are worse, some are just totally wrong. But, whatever it is, as long as you understand what ‘sono me, dare no me’ means, I don’t think it really matters how we interpret it.

    @tystic

    lol totally agree, just watched minami-ke s2, ayako finally got it done, was worth it in the end, was great fun and happy to see a 3rd season is set for jan 09. Hope ayako do that one as well. Point being after constantly hearing Chiaki saying baka and bakamono, i have come so close to to insulting people using it. It really does affect how you think if your picking up the language all the time, and for some reason baka sounds a better insult than the english idiot or stupid.

    Also as far as translation goes i dont think its just limited to that, accent, tone of voice and any slang or regional meanings, can make most things be interpreted differently even if its your native language, where your brain isnt working from foriegn langauge–native language to achieve the meaning of what was said. Bit rushed as about to go work so hope that made sense.
    Btw thanks for ran 19 and 20, saves me posting on the other topic.

    Hayaku! was what came out in my case. Sometimes I say nani without realizing it either.

    In addition to context, tone, slang… word order is important too, and that can really affect things if someone gets cut off, or what’s the most important thing he/she is talking about, etc.

    Gigolomaniacs!?

  30. kouk2002
    4:27 pm on November 27th, 2008

    @Calver

    Yea is kinda odd especially after seeing how you spelt it, though i dont know if it could be spelt any other way. If you just go off how its sounds you would think its about people who are obsessed with gigolo’s.

    Not suprisingly when i googled it and checked dictionary definitions i didnt get anything other than about gigolo’s the male escorts, and a few films by similar titles, including an anime/hentai one.

    Very odd way to describe people with the power to transform delusions and other things into reality, which is a pretty damn cool power, especially if you get one of those cool di-swords to go with it.
