Some kinda worm managed to crawl its way into this site. We managed to clear it temporarily, but we’re not sure what kinda damage it may have done.

For those who visited the site during around the 9th – 10th of this month, please get your PC scanned for viruses. Apparently this worm infects the adobe acrobat dll and does bad things.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused. But please, scan your PCs if you had visited this site recently and have Adobe Acrobat installed.

Anyway, Munto 04 will be ready in a few days. We’re sorry for the delay as the normal translator was busy, so we had our cbox whore asagao do the translation for this week. Other than that, I was also moving and such, which caused even more delays. There are no other updates for other shows. That’s all for now.

No wonder my Firefox suddenly crashed last night when I visited this site. At first I thought it was just some connection issue cuz I wasn’t able to load some of the pages such as YouTube or digg. But then it affected my Google search results too. It kept redirecting me to some other website when I click on one of the search results. Anyway, I’m glad you realized this before it escalated any further. And I’m running a full system scan as I speak.

Yeah, Adobe Reader has a security hole. I read an article about it that mentioned it. Hijackers can use it to spread stuff to your computer. It sucks, but Avast seems to have gotten rid of the problem.

Though I uninstalled Avast today, too many antivirus programs going at once. I still have the setup handy in case I need it, though. =P

So that is what happened! I was wondering how the heck I got a bunch of viruses from no where. I hadn’t done anything to normally get myself infected. I just decided to scratch my head and assume I overlooked something.

Ah well, it didn’t really manage to do any harm. I got a very large repertoire of scanners at my disposal!

For all of your information, Vista really stands for

    Virus
    Intruders
    Spyware
    Trojans
    Adware

  14. Now I see why my AntiVirus closed the site immediately. I thought it has gone crazy when it said that there are viruses >_> I’d better scan my pc then…

Anyway, I’m really happy that Minto will soon be out! ^____^ I can’t wait for it! ^___^ Munto x Yumemi forevah! xD

My Kapersky Internet Security prevented me from coming to this site because of it. Saying something about a trojan, so I was saved by that. I bought it only after losing 2 of my other computers to virus infection, even with Norton, so I’m glad I coughed up the $60.00-80.00 to buy the best protection software I could get, and it works on 3 computers. It’s definitely worth it.

I also scanned and no worm or virus.

  16. Is it virus, worm, spyware, rootkit..? Hmm..?

@ berlioz couldent agree more with ya about all adobe shit… i havent ran an anti virus on any of my pc’s (two pc’s are worth 2k each) for over 4 years now and never gotten anything of the sort.
ill tell u guys like i tell my mom, STOP going to all then site’s (mystolker, facebook, utube Iwon ect..) were assholes are all the time and u wont have a porblem jsut install an outside firewall that u buy form bestbuy for $200 and have an IT TECH come install it and thats all u need. just to let u know the more shit u got running in the background the more you slow your computer down(IE task manager and close some stuff out) thats a word form an IT TECH.

  18. OMG~ lucky I hadn’t check those days. (But then again…I haven’t been checkin’ lately.)

But since I’ve finally decided that I would continue watching Munto, I’m prolly gonna check more often for updates. x’3

    Anyways…
that’s good the problem was solved before it affected everyone else’s PC. :’]

    Anywho~
    I can’t wait for Munto ep4 x’3
    Good luck guys!
    You can do it! x’3

  19. Aha! So that’s where it came from. I couldn’t figure out why Reader kept opening itself whenever I’d try to shut down my computer.

I just took out Reader and reinstalled it, and that got rid of it.

    …\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\Q1CKOZFW\flash[1].swf – probably a variant of Win32/Agent trojan – cleaned by deleting – quarantined

Unsure about dates, i usually only know what day it is, date is pushing it, have been checking site lately, and never found a virus before during checks.

Well least nod32 removed it, decided to keep spydoctor active again as well.

I don’t think it affects people that upgraded their flash, as i did not get the virus.

Actually, there are some things to mention. Negima OVA 2 has now become my responsibility, and I will either be translating it on Valentine’s Day (Saturday), or in early March. I suspect that the translation won’t be difficult, just time-consuming. Munto 4 is progressing smoothly, and will be done when it’s done (hopefully within 24h).

I am not sure if it because of my web browser, but I use Google Chrome and I didn’t catch any virus at all. It happened to my teacher’s site as his site caught a trojan, and google chrome warned me about it. Maybe I was thankful to my browser that the virus didn’t download it onto my computer.

Ahhh…. That explains it. I was running the Windows 7 beta and I thought the problems I had were from Windows 7. Windows 7 = meh Antiviruses for Windows 7 are kind of lame, now I kind of wish I left windows 7 on my laptop. It’d be interesting to see which Windows 7 antivirus would’ve detected that.(AVG didn’t)

Yeah, I was having these weird issues with Adobe a while ago. I kept getting these strange errors and it would just randomly pop up on some websites and access these strange sites that obviously looked like hacker URLs.

In any event I uninstalled Adobe that day, lol. And then ran TrendMicro. And found nothing. But I’ll try this Avast thing that everyone else mentioned; good to know that it wasn’t an isolated incident. Thanks for the heads up, m.3.3.w!
