So in the end, we decided to go with Hatsukoi Limited instead of Polyphonica. Forgive us for the confusion caused. Although Polyphonica does seem like the more suitable choice, our translator preferred Hatsukoi Limited, so we’re going with that instead. Sorry, Polyphonica fans.

In summation: Hatsukoi Limited – yes, Polyphonica – no

Hatsukoi Limited is not some yuri harem despite how misleading the website looks. It’s about multiple intertwined love stories, written and illustrated by the same manga artist who brought you Ichigo 100%.

Brought to you by m33w team mango, please enjoy the show.

P.S. This is the Polyphonica script. Since it’s mostly done, why not release it? [Script]

Glad to see someone picked this up but at the same time I’m disappointed to hear about Polyphonica since I heard it’s not as QUALITY as the first season so it’s actually watchable now. Regardless, thanks for the release.

Thanks a lot for picking up Hatsukoi Limited, the m.3.3.w team πŸ˜€ ! I was becoming worried that no quality group was going to sub this, since many groups had already allocated their resources to other shows this season.

Crap, this series doesn’t deserve the three quality subbers it’s getting. A good indication of the mediocrity of the spring anime lineup.

On a sidenote, this is the first time since the creation of m.3.3.w that I’m not watching anything from you guys. Hopefully you’ll pick up an interesting series in the summer season.

It’s true that Polyphonica may have been a better choice because fewer groups are doing it, namely only one. We were actually pretty sure that we were going to release Poly like 4 or 5 days ago. Then somehow we changed our minds because a number of the staff did not agree on Poly. We apologise to Chihiro because of the confusion we caused.

Well, you all could try to persuade the other groups to do Poly instead.

Try to make do with what you have. Please give hints to Fireboy88 and his group on what exactly displeases you about their release. The more detailed you are with your suggestions, the more helpful you can be to them, I’m sure.

I have to admit that the 1st ep of Hatsukoi is promising. It’s kinda like Kimikiss w/ comedy & a little dash of etchiness mixed right in. It’s a heck of a lot better than Hanasakeru!

Though so far this season, THE BEST 1st ep I have to say is hands down, without a doubt, Cross Game! Jade did a pretty good job on it since I think they also translated the manga? It’s just a question of how fast can they release.

xess, I’ve translated your comment on picking Hatsukoi instead of Polyphonica. Being a highly skilled translator, I believe the common meaning is as follows:

“I wanted to do Polyphonica, but then Jaka got wind that Chihiro was doing Hatsukoi, so he and the other m33w members who are troll buds with him decided to drop Poly and sub Hatsukoi. I’m sorry, Chihiro, but Jaka is a douchefag.”

Minor romanization question: is there supposed to be a “d” in hitotsudzutsu? Couldn’t find it on jisho.org, not until I reversed “one by one” from English to Japanese. Is there like a “d before z” romanization rule or something, like in kidzuite or is it supposed to be kizuite? Then shouldn’t hitsuzen have a “d” as well? Wait, now I’m confused.

  64. Although romanisation is pretty arbitrary (I think there are about three major variations that I’ve seen), since the language is composed of characters separate from the Latin alphabet, there is no “correct” way to romanise. I find writing γ€Œγšγ€γ€€as “dzu” to be rather cumbersome myself. There is no “d before z” rule; and I can’t think of another character that is *ever* romanized with a “dz”.

So, in short: 1) not necessarily, 2) no, 3) heck no.
