I think it’s about time for me to introduce myself.

I joined m.3.3.w not so long ago aimming to provide direct link download for leechers like you and me. But obviously I failed. I promise when I earn enough dough, I’ll make that possible. You’ve probably seen me somewhere around here. Anyways since I failed as a distro, Korokun asked me if I can finish subbing where tun had left off.

Jang Geum’s Dream is what I am translating and it is a Korean Animated Series based on Dae Jang Geum the drama. Also based on true history. Not too sure how accurate it is… Just because I am Korean, don’t assume I like these stuff. I watched all 26 episodes in less than 12 hours. It was atypical Korean drama just animated. But it wasn’t bad nor great. There are actually total of 52 episodes so I will be busy translating them over the summer. I watched the translated version on the DVD and it looked like a kindergartener tried to translate it. Also timing wasn’t always accurate.

We are kind of debating something in the staff channel. As some of you may know, there is also Japanese dubbed version of this. I suggested adding both Japanese and Korean audios while tun suggested just Korean while Korokun suggested Japanese. Since we use MKV, it is possible to put both the audios. Only problem is not only do I have to translate, but someone else also has to translate; from Japanese to English. When I listened to both of the audios, some of the parts were completely different. It looks like BiGGuY will be busy encoding not only this Anime but Hatsukoi (one of my favorites) and Hanasakeru (the girl is annoying).

I translated the opening song (kind of annoying soundtrack) and tun is currently in the process of translating the ending song. I gave up on the ending and gave it to tun. Yesterday Kokizzzle tried to be Korean and failed miserably. This project is strictly run by me, tun, Korokun, and BiGGuY and maybe some other encoders.

To sum this up, I think I’ll enjoy subbing this Anime and for m.3.3.w. Adding this series will just make us more unique. Everyone here is/has different nationality (part of the reasons why we sub slower than other groups). Although we argue a lot, we are one big happy family. Sorry if this was long and if some part of it sounded retarded. lol.

Actually, it used to be that we subbed more quickly *because* we were of different nationalities, because xess would TL at evening time for him and then I would TLC at evening time for me and then BiGGuY would encode at evening time for him. Shame we can’t go back to those days, eh?

Also, Hanasakeru is a cool show. Just, not for most guys. (But Li Ren is so smexy~ <3 <3 kyaa!!)

Anyway, are you guys willing to maybe update Hatsukoi Limited episode 1 and 2 with the updated lyrics? I noticed it was changed starting with episode 3.

    No.

OMGOMGOMG This show is gonna suck SHIT! Cuz its korean. Only japanese know how to make good animation. Sorry but its true. Even if its dubbed in japanese they’ll probably get shit japanese voice actors that will ruin it.

TL;DR – dont mean to be racist but this show’ll fail cuz its korean ><

  7. Sorry to disagree, raven ,but even koreans have some great anime movies.
Check Wonderful Days out. (ignore the crappy title, but I liked the whole sci-fi apocalitic theme in it).

Not to start anything, but Suiton are official lyrics really that important? I mean seriously, I have seen you ask the same question for a few days now. They already updated the newer episodes with the official lyrics. Why bother making a v2 just for lyric updates?

I wish m.3.3.w would do ordered chapters so I can not DL OPs and EDs; I always skip them.

You rock and being of different nationality just add spice to the mix. Thanks for all your hard work.

  12. No hard feelings. I don’t watch Korean Anime anyways. And I do agree that the graphic somewhat sucks. Even so some of the Japanese Anime gets outsourced to Korea. I think Koreans should stick with gaming. Anyways lets see how this Anime series goes.

I’m open to new things. I never watched korean anime/drama, but that doesn’t mean they’re bad.
I’m okay with this project, you guys are good subbers. And i agree when you say that this will make your group more unique.
Besides, the projects you’ve done are almost all anime i like(d). So i have faith XD

I will check out the first episode. 🙂

  17. @NoobHunterD
I guess you are a fan of Seto no Hanayome, just like me. Unfortunately it’s been sitting there in our server. asagao needs to TLC it. That’s how it is in fansubbing. If the TL or TLC people don’t like the Anime, it’s most likely gonna not get translated. But I think asagao is just busy and stressed with life. Correct me if I am wrong.

picking up something new to sub, instead subbing rosario? that’s blasphemy

  21. @silv
Actually Rosario is being worked on. I think tun really wants to get it done but I think some of the crews got lazy. Just be patient since everyone knows we are slow subber. I hate dropping an Anime Series so I will make sure we finish Rosario.

I have seen the drama but there r both a japanese version and a korean personally I like both it basically states the story of a girl that becomes a cook in the royal kitchen and later on becomes the first doctor to perform surgury on someone atleast that is what most information states there are about 6 different stories but all in all they r all pretty good

always wondered if there were subbers for non-jap anime…

Thanks you guys, i knew having you on bookmark was the right thing to do, your subbing rocks. thanks for expanding

  25. All shows somehow someway are from a different culture. I was PO’d enough earlier to change this, but rechanged it back, and leave it as is. The audio for this will stay in Korean, as much to my disconcern, I think the Japanese version might have significant differences then the Korean one.

    We will see.

Glad to hear that Jang Geum’s Dream (based on the mega hit drama Dae Jang Geum) will be translated, since it is really a very good animated series. Nice idea to make it dual audio (Jpn, Kor); I actually prefer the Japanese version just because Seo Jang Geum is voiced by Miki Ito (DBZ’s Android 18 and Lind from Oh My Goddess!). By the way, many of the Japanese anime series are made/assisted by Korean animators.

Korea has the best games, drama, and movies. Absolutely NO ONE can deny that (most holleywood movies suck anyways).

but for anime dub, I prefer Japanese over Korean. I was watching Seto no Hanayome in Korean dub when i went over to my cousins’ last summer, and it didn sound very cute.

btw, whoever said Korean Han-Geul sucks, stop crying only cuz it will never fit into your tiny brain.

Hello! I suggest you use the Korean, since it’s the original language for the drama and you have less work to do.

That was a nice post. Keep up the good work.

Hi beefymint: Sounds like you fit right in m33w and hopefully you will keep enjoying being there^^

It’s great to know that m33w (and you) took up Jang Geum’s Dream. I saw the first few eps of it, japanese, and I loved it.

I knew it was a korean title (and based on soem korean work) but not that it was a japanese dub on a korean animation. I would vote for the korean version too….hate dubs no matter what they are, lets keep it as original as we can. 😉

  30. Uh… It will only be Korean audio right now then later, another version with Japanese audio will be published.

Wow, I’m surprised to see some of these racist comments.

Anyway, personally I’m thrilled that someone is willing to fansub this show. I love both Japanese and Korean animation, but it’s so hard to find Korean stuff. I also support doing it in the original language. ^^
I hope it progresses well and can’t wait to see when it’s finished!!
