I personally apologize for the disastrously low quality of our most recent release, Mayoi Neko Overrun – 01 (as it was mostly my fault). Several errors were detected by our fans Philip and Kojika, and I detected about 20 more upon a second listen with a better raw (actually, I used our v1 of episode 1).

Errors include:
Fixed pre-OP lines (thank you Philip)
Other fixed lines
Rewordings (less Engrish)
TS for the school motto (again, thanks Philip)
Fixed overlapping timing (thanks Philip and Kojika)
Fixed ED karaoke (thanks ji-hi.net)

All in all, I say, download the v2 if you got the v1. This sort of thing should never happen in fansubbing period, let alone in m.3.3.w.

Thank you, fans, for your loyalty, and for keeping us accountable. We will try our hardest to meet, and even exceed your expectations.

You peeps never cease to surprise me on your releases. I watched Mayoi Neko Overrun probably 6 times (4 from other groups and two from your group (v1 and v2)). And I must say that v2 had an entirely different feel to the episode, and you changed a lot from what I remember of v1.
I can’t understand much Japanese, but when Umenomori wanted Tsuzuki’s hand (9:17). You guys translated it as “shake” which although is a localization to the direct translation (I am assuming), it provided a completely different interpretation of what she was implying by that action/statement. I felt that scene was twice as hilarious compared to your first release/translation of “Tsuzuki, your hand”, because when someone translates it like that, I am just assuming Umenomori is some pampered little girl who needs to be comforted and from initial glance, I do not get any feeling of her personality in the scene as being “bossy”. Usually when you want to train a dog to put out its paw, one would usually say “shake” as a command. And that’s what I perceived from Umenomori’s action and your translation; the previous scene when Fumino was raging over Umenomori’s bossiness and then going to the scene where she asked Tsuzuki to shake, it showed that Umenomori has no intention of changing her personality and attitude which made it even more funny compared to v1’s translation.
I thought this release would fix some small grammar errors, mistranslations, signs, etc… But you guys provided another moment of the “double-die/double-kill” which blew my brain out of the water.
People were praising mochi on their intended localized pun at 8:15 “I don’t care if you’re the chairman’s granddaughter or his graham cracker” but that is nowhere near what you guys provided with the “double-die/double-kill” and “shake” translation. People may say I am taking fan subbing too seriously or analyzing things too much. However, what I admire is not the fansubbing (although I do love it), rather what I definitely admire is that you all enjoy what you do, and this release proves that. Bravo!
Waiting this long for the v2 was definitely worth it, even though like I said, I watched this episode literally 6 times, after watching the v2, I felt like this was the first time I ever watched this episode .
P.S. I like the translation on the meal ticket aha. And the three-stooges translation was great (I remember seeing that in v1 but I didn’t say anything, so I’ll just say it in here).
    *Nice Essay NOOB*

  3. That’s right! Don’t let yourself go below your expectations, we’ve set a goal and we WILL meet or exceed it!

Yet despite all that, the overlapping timing discussed in v1 is still there!

Dialogue: 0,0:06:06.38,0:06:10.78,lolcat,,0000,0000,0000,,You worked until dawn to bake a cake because Master Otome wasn’t here to do it?
Dialogue: 0,0:06:10.76,0:06:12.76,lolcat,,0000,0000,0000,,You sure have it rough, don’t you?

Thankfully it’s a very minor issue, but it seems odd that it was missed.

Been looking for a great fansub group that was subbing this and would also release xvid but it seems the times have changed I too appreciate it if you were to release XviD version of this anime. I have always been faithful towards m.3.3.w and would like to continue. Reason why I want this to be in XviD is so i can watch it on my dvd player and also my xbox so if you can
