asagao here again, to summarise stuff without summarising it at all. In this episode, there are a lot of Sadako reaction-faces, and they’re all high-quality, so right off the bat you know this is going to be a good episode. Apart from that, we learn more about Kento’s personality, learn what that garden Sadako was planting in episode 2 is all about, and learn some math.

Hmm, I think it’s time for some TL notes. A Kokeshi doll is a wooden doll, almost always female (as far as I know). We have a few at my house, so I’m pretty familiar with them. They’re old-fashioned little things, but they have a very distinctive shape: their bodies are cylinders. For more information, jfgi, etc.

At some point, there’s a joke about an ant. The word for ants (アリ, ‘ari’) sounds the same as another word (有り (I think), ‘ari’) that means roughly ‘to have’ or ‘to not be impossible’. In the case of this episode, it refers to (as I understand it) *spoiler* Kento’s growing perception of the appeal of a girl like Sadako. */spoiler*

Finally, it seems that another prominent group (unfortunately, not Lunar — I <3 alpha-timing) has begun releasing episodes of Kimi ni Todoke S2 as well. We think that’s very cool of them, and, quite frankly, welcome the competition. So, no, as a matter of fact, we won’t be dropping KnT. We will ‘deliver to you’ (search this on tokyotosho for an “adult” (16+) bonus 😉 ) only the best qaulity subs at slower-than-speedsub-but-still-pretty-fast speeds, until this series ends. Thanks for caring.

I don’t doubt there be some fanboys & girls rushing back to you know who… “How could you leave us like that!”

For me, though, quality always counts, so I shall be sticking around; unless, of course, everything slows down to a complete crawl (*cough* MM! *cough*) 😀

That’s hung up in typesetting hell right now. The scripts are all done and I think we’ve gotten somebody to finish out the typesetting, so hopefully we can get the last 3 eps of MM! to you soon. *crosses fingers*

Umm…. might consider correcting the perfectly placed typo, unless it was an intended troll XD

Well I loved both Eclipse and your releases till now, so it’s a hard decision on me what to – I’ll probably archive both ^^

Well do remember than sub groups are composed of independent people who work on different shows. They already did S1 so perhaps a few of them found themselves free and grabbed some help. They never said they were dead as they also offer some services around the community and they very clearly stated they could return at any moment if they found the interest. Hence they were “hibernating”.

As I already began seeing m33w’s I will stick to them, I like to be consistent, but it’s good to know we have a second alternative if some problem comes up.

Anyway, great to hear you guys haven’t abandoned M.M. after all. I myself understand that you guys face challenges doing this projects and considering the fact it’s for free I’m quite grateful for your work.

  10. I would like to state, for the record, that we are extremely sorry for the delay on MM! 10-12, and that we’ve been just as frustrated about it as some of you have. Thanks for the patience guys, and now that it’s moving forward at faster-than-a-snail’s-pace, hopefully we can get it behind us soon.

I was going to download your version when the season ends as I’m never ever going to watch anything gg puts out (unless it’s the only option). I love the quality and effort you guys put into your shows.

However, when I randomly checked Eclipse’s site to see if they ever bother finishing Kaichou wa maid-sama, I was so surprised to see 4 episodes of KnT2 O.O

As much as I love your work, I value consistency above all else and because Eclipse did season one, I’m going with them.

Dam it sucks when two quality groups do the same show -.-

Thank you very much for the new ep and for the always so wonderful quality! I prefer quality over speed so I guess it’s worth waiting till you release the eps.^^ Keep up the great work, guys!

I watched both the Eclipse and m33w versions of ep 3 and preferred your subs, so I’ll be sticking with you.

Aww, shucks. Thanks 🙂 We’ll do our best to make sure you don’t regret your decision. — Love, asagao
