This is asagao. I used to TLC here. Then I retired, a couple months ago. Now I’m back.

And I bring news.

So, some of you people actually liked that Munto TV series. A while after it ended, there was a movie, and we said we were going to release it. And we never did. I lack employment. It will be subbed and released shortly.

And, if I continue to suffer from unemployed-itis, I may finish another project that I worked on with another group… hmMnH…

Munto TV 08

Hi guys. Wanna venture a guess as to why we’ve delayed Munto this week? We’ve actually had the episode ready for several days, but it never got released… Believe it or not, because they didn’t know what to write for the blog post. I was actually waiting to see how long they’ll go without releasing without the blessing of my blog post, but I think they finally realised that it wasn’t released yet today. I wonder what kinda excuse we’ll come up with next.

Incidents like these have really sapped the motivation of our translator, who’s usually extremely fast. But he’s slowed down to a crawl now to match the speed of the others.

More often than not, it’s not that we’re working slow. We usually get things done pretty quickly, but somehow, through negligence or forgetfulness, or just simply bad management, our complete scripts – yes, complete – are simply left on the FTP doing nothing. I blame the economic recession, even though it’s completely unrelated to us. Just needed something to blame.

Anyway, on to the show. I really don’t think it’s that hard to look for something to say. Like for example, episode 09 will be the final episode of Munto. Yes, it’s only nine episodes. It’s a pretty poor show in my opinion. It had some nice storyline, but it just kinda dragged on with nothing much really happening. If I’m not mistaken, this is KyoAni’s only original IP, as in produced and written by KyoAni in-house. They should keep it that way. Enjoy.

No double release. It took a long time to get the work raw ready for episode 8 because there was a problem in the transport stream.

xess has been busy, so no work has been completed on this episode as far as I know.

Still stuck at editing (me). I realize it is a Mizore episode, but I still have no motivation to edit the script. Maybe I’ll do it tonight if I’m not feeling so lazy.

Mango-chan dumped the project onto asagao, who is busy until Spring Break, so it’ll be a miracle if we ever see this completed.

As for our recent slowdown, it’s really down to me and xess. xess is back at school and no longer has time to translate full time. He can barely manage enough time to do translation check for Munto. As for me, a lack of interest in both anime and the fansubbing scene is the culprit. I’ve been losing a lot of interest in anime over the past few months, and that has obviously affected my fansubbing motivation. The evolution of the fansubbing scene has also crushed any remaining willingness to continue fansubbing seriously as fansubbing elitists would like to call it. I’m still gonna try to finish up the projects I have remaining, but I’m basically a retired fansubber at this point, and have been for a couple months already.

I have no idea what m.3.3.w has in store for next season, but we’re not going to announce any project beforehand. We have to stop committing ourselves to projects that we end up disliking, so we’re gonna actually watch the show and decide on the spot whether to sub it or not. Hopefully we can get back to our generic romance bullshit that we’re known for. I think subbing all of this non-romance crap has played a role in my loss of interest in fansubbing.

I messed something up with the script and there is missing dialogue in the beginning of the episode. Here is v2 for both versions.

Just to answer questions asked yesterday…

Seto: We’re still doing it, if only to spite them because of the incredibly stupid name. And no, we’re not gonna bother using the w.0.0.f tag just to avoid confusion. The tags are already screwed up much for our releases, so we’re just gonna keep it as is.

Rosario DVD’s: We’re still doing this too. We’re in the process of getting the DVD’s. We’ll finish up the TV rips in the meantime.
