Wow…what a let down! I guess this is your version of YHBT by DB. Sorry, but Pokemon isn’t something that lives up to your potential. You didn’t feel like doing Vampire Knight because it had lots of claimers (NONE delivered HD in a timely manner like you do; we’re talking months) & wasn’t interesting & enjoyable, but come on…Pokemon?! What’s next, Power Rangers? Great…now that PR song’s stuck in my head. lol It’s kinda sad that you guys are slowly moving further & further away from your original specialty of drama (I know this season’s lineup isn’t helping either), & some ecchi, but kiddie anime?!
Even if you already say you’re not picking this up full time, you already know the saying “You give a man a hand, but he’ll want your arm as well.”
If it’s not getting in the way of your current projects, then shouldn’t you use the time wisely & relax so you’d be refreshed & not feel drained doing regular (& real life) stuff? I’m just concerned that you guys will burn out.

Thanks so much for subbing an episode of Diamond and Pearl. Man it’s so rare to find a fansub group to take on a Pocket Monsters episode. Thanks again~ This season is just so underrated by people even though it has sooo much great stuff like old plots returning & old people returning. :3

in my opinion, vampire knight anime just fails, although pretty girls and boys in the series though
@ m.3.3.w.: I wont bitch, Jdrama’s kept me occupied for a while now, as well as manga, but Pokemon? a wtf moment when i saw it here, but as I said, pokemon was the shit at one time or the other =)

Well, I really wouldn’t consider this a YHBT because this is a real sub… I think. I’ve not watched it, nor do I intend to. But pokemon is apparently something that tun likes, so he did it in his spare time with the people at Ayako. Let me just say that I’m completely not involved in it in anyway, nor did I know about this until like 3 days ago.
Vampire Knight? Hmmm… -_- Unfortunately though, Itakiss and Special A were long chosen beforehand and we were not about to pick up a third.
Ran, however, was just something that happened to come along by chance. It was never meant to be a full project, but things just turn out the way they do. I honestly had no intention of doing anything new this season.
But, the surprise I mentioned, there’s actually more. I probably won’t be involved, but hopefully things will turn out well if we can whip up a team quickly.

There really isn’t anything nostalgic about Pokemon D&P. It’s supposed to be a continuation of the over 10 yr run of the Pokemon franchise, but unfortunately, if you’ve seen 1 ep, you’ve seen it all. Ash’s NEVER ending quest to be a Pokemon master accompanied by a Pikachu (that NEVER evolves, but surprisingly increases his power somehow), along with a boy & a girl, & are attacked by Team Rocket who steals Pokemons, but always get thwarted by getting blown away. That’s the complete 1 sentence summary of the over decade long series. You’ll understand if you have Cartoon Network. It’s like a landmine: there’s NO way you can avoid it & by the time you notice it, it’s already too late.
As for the 2nd surprise, I guess here we…”Go, go, Power Rangers!” ROTFL It’s funny, but it’s sad at the same time:( Get off my head, dammit!

(WARNING SPOILERS FOR DUB VIEWERS)
DP036 – Viridian City Officer Jenny (From episode 2) re-appears.
DP045 & DP085 – Gary re-appears
DP055 – The trading concept is re-introduced. Ash hasn’t traded any of his Pokemon since Butterfree in Episode 15(But got it back soon after xD), but he trades his Aipom for Dawn’s Buizel.
DP065 – Butch & Cassidy re-appears
DP074 – Two old concepts for re-introduced. Pikachu vs. Raichu &…THE THUNDERSTONE. Yeah he actually kept it from Vermillion..
DP075 to DP079 – May re-appears
DP079 – Though these characters also appear, they don’t talk: Max, Harley, Solidad, Drew, Norman, Caroline
Also a couple times we see ol’ Team Rocket’s Delibird.
Diamond and Pearl is different from Advance Generation by a whole FAR LOT. xD It’s more unpredictable.
We finally see WALLACE. :3 That 8th Gym Leader in Hoenn from the games.
Also characters/pokemon of the day reappear such as Kenny, Zoey, Paul, Nando, & Hippopatas.
The writers are actually giving us unexpected stuff and are bringing out more interesting fillers (e.g. DP071 + DP072) & characters than before. Paul & Pokemon Hunter J.
Paul – A rival of Ash’s that believe that friendship with Pokemon is useless & only captures powerful Pokemon, but releases the ones he thinks are useless. (e.g. Chimchar). He always calls Ash, a “useless guy”.
Pokemon Hunter J – Finally an actually villain in the Pokemon Anime (Not counting TR) She captures a certain Pokemon and sells it off to her employers. It also looks like she’ll kill anyone that gets in her way (e.g. DP072 – Hunter J tried killing Ash. First, have her Salamance smoke & burn Ash with its flame, second, have her Drapion crush Ash by its deadly grip, and activated a trap door which let them fall from who knows how many feet from that aircraft [though they failed..].)

It was a good episode. What you want to watch on Cartoon network when you turn the TV on. Very casual fun. Not something you want to follow, but just to be entertained half an hour.
Also, May>Dawn. If you’re doing another I’d like to see a May episode.

@Katsu Koneko: yeah, I already knew all that and it still changes nothing about how I feel about the Pokémon anime. “If you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all” in mind, I won’t go into details. All I want to say is, you can’t write off the DP haters as ignoramuses who haven’t downloaded as many as 10 of the episodes and patiently watched them.

Back then, Pikachu was thrown into walls, in perpetual danger of being melted by lava, and even had full-length subtitled conversations with other Pokémon. The 2nd season onward was just too dull! This includes DP, even if it is a major improvement over previous seasons.
If m.3.3.w announced they’d gotten hold of the 1st season raws and they were planning to sub those, then that would be something to get me really excited. I’ve long wanted to buy Season 1 on R1 DVD but all I can find is the 4Kids dub.

ROFL – I’m forcing myself not to dl this, years ago i too thought pokemon was ftw. The ironic part is that these days i’m forced to play pokemon diamond and pearl so that my nephew can trade with someone who won’t rip him off.
