I’m pleased to announce that we have decided to pick up Hakushaku to Yousei. As you might already be aware, the first episode was aired one week early as a preview for the series. We liked what we saw and we just couldn’t resist Mizuki Nana again. However, we will not be starting until next week. The raws for the early airing weren’t very good, so we will wait until the normal airing (next week) so we can pick out the best raw.

And we might still be picking up one more show. We haven’t decided yet, but we have a show or two in mind. I can also confirm that we will not be doing ToraDora. The group that I mentioned in the other post has confirmed that they will pick up the show.

This release marks an end to all our Summer projects. It’s been a long six months getting here, but it sure was a lot of fun. I thoroughly enjoyed Itazura na Kiss and am very happy to have had the pleasure of working on it. It’d probably be a while before we get to enjoy another slice of life drama as good as this one.

Episode 25 is the final episode, and not 26. Although technically 24 was the real ending. 25 is somewhat just a bonus episode. I don’t think the animators worked very hard on this episode as the quality of the animation is a bit suspect in this final episode.

Either way, I’d like to thank the late Tada Kaoru for writing such a great story, and also everyone who helped me work on ItaKiss:

Remember a few days back I mentioned about a surprise? Well, this is it: episode 13 of Shigofumi! It’s a DVD only episode, so, no, we’re not six months behind or whatever. The story continues where episode 12 left off.

If you have not watched this amazing series before, then I highly recommend that you do. Although the premise may sound silly, with loli mail girls sending you letters from the dead, the storytelling and drama are excellent. We’re planning to release the full batch of DVD encodes in the future with some corrections to the first few episodes and such. It may take a while though.

Continuation from this season. No explanation necessary.

• Rosario + Vampire Capu2

This will be a continuation of our joint project with Ayako from the first season. So far I’ve heard very shitty reviews about the first episode, but I guess that was to be expected.

• Chaos;Head [ Link ]

This will be the first real departure from our normal genre of shows. You guys know that we mostly do daily life romance shows, but this one will be pretty different. You guys are just better off reading the Wikipedia page.

List of possible projects

• ToraDora!

This will depend on if another group is doing it. Hopefully they will let us know in a few days. m.3.3.w is very strongly opposed to oversubbing anime shows, because it’s a waste of our time and it doesn’t help leechers. As long as there is a group that we think can do a great job on it, we will let them do it.

• Hakushaku to Yousei

We’re thinking about this one. We’re gonna have to see the first episode though.

• Kannagi

This will be another “watch the first episode and see” decision.

• Yozakura Quartet

Same as the others.

Another group that we respect is doing this show, so we feel that it is in good hands.

Mango was just trolling Kristen (leader of Chihiro). Normally I would have green lighted this show, but Menclave did a great job on season 1, so I will expect them to do the same on season 2.

Obviously we’re not doing this. Go to aarinfantasy if you want this.

• Skip Beat!

One of our staff members is doing this with another group, so we are not doing it out of respect. This looks like it’s gonna be Special A version 2, so I don’t want to do it anyway.

It was a hard time choosing this, it was either this or Akaneiro ni Somaru Saka (another game adaptation). In the end, we chose this because of Minori + Tenmon + Naru Nanao goodness.

This is not final, but highly unlikely that it’ll be changed. Also, if you want us to pick up another show, we’ll look into it.

Ran has reached its halfway point and our other two shows are nearing completion. October is round the corner which means a brand new exciting season. The only show we currently have 100% confirmed is this, Telepathy Shoujo Ran, which would run for at least another three months. Again, this is a pretty good show, and it’s worth watching if you’re bored.

We’ll provide more details about what we’re doing next season after we release the final episodes of Nogizaka and Itazura na Kiss. Also we have another small surprise for you all soon. Be expecting that!

Nothing much to report about this one. It’s basically all fan service, as you can tell from the screenshots. There is one minor TL note that we would like to mention, but did not include in the episode for various reasons.

Fräulein

It’s basically a German title for young and unmarried ladies. The Wiki says that it isn’t used any more though. We hate TL notes and try to avoid them as much as possible, and especially when it’s for non-Japanese words. Our reasoning is that a normal Japanese viewer probably wouldn’t know what Fräulein is, so at least you have the benefit of seeing the subtitle and being able to Wikipedia it later.

After almost 6 long months, we are finally done with Special A. It’s definitely been an enjoyable experience to watch this show get better every episode. In the coming days, we will be announcing our Fall 2008 projects, so look forward to that as well. Nogizaka 11 looks to be the closest episode to release. Hopefully that will be out tomorrow. Itazura 24 soon after. I’ll also update this post with the batch torrent once I have it ready.
