This release marks an end to all our Summer projects. It’s been a long six months getting here, but it sure was a lot of fun. I thoroughly enjoyed Itazura na Kiss and am very happy to have had the pleasure of working on it. It’d probably be a while before we get to enjoy another slice of life drama as good as this one.
Episode 25 is the final episode, and not 26. Although technically 24 was the real ending. 25 is somewhat just a bonus episode. I don’t think the animators worked very hard on this episode as the quality of the animation is a bit suspect in this final episode.
Either way, I’d like to thank the late Tada Kaoru for writing such a great story, and also everyone who helped me work on ItaKiss:

i the the animation was sucky cause they tried to make the how they looked in the manga, kinda… maybe that’s what was in thier minds

Thanks so much, this series has slid into number 2 on my all time animes llist… and I have some good ones on that list too! I agree with you completely on the subject that it will be a hell of a long time before another anime ever comes even close to being this indepth of a slice of life.

By far the best show during the summer release. And i liked how it had an actual ending, instead of your typical peck on the cheek/handshake endings we are accustomed to. (this is how i wanted Ah my goddess to end)

Just after watching this episode, I watch Hakushaku to Yousei. While watching it, my mind all the sudden thought the sound tracks got mixed up between the two shows. Voices are so unique that they can get type-cast also it seems.

Thanks for all your hard work. This is one of the series that I’m gonna miss. I didn’t know Kotoko had a 6th sense since she “can see dead people”. lol Anime was significantly drawn better than the manga so at least we can be grateful about that. At least it didn’t end by having them jump off Big Ben & miraculously be still alive! SA was a nasty brown turd that tarnished anime IMO.

SA wasnt that bad, though i admit the ending did kinda suck.
Although i dont really think its right for a guy to use the wording i cant think of a better way to say it, and thats just how beautiful the story was. I was pretty unsure of this at the begining with the wierd artstyle but the story was good and the comedy always made me laugh, and you just got a good feel of the characters and then wanted to know how it ends for them.
I agree about the typical sort of ending we always get shown, SA even did it, that no matter how close they become, their relationship never really advances.
Just finished Birdy decode before this, guys romantic interest loses memory of how close they had become and leaves school, the end. I mean what the hell, more to it than that but thats the jist of it, why have a love interest if your just going to erase them.
Harems are the worse for it, but maybe its part of genre, group of girls, one guy, they all love or want him for whatever reason, usually the girl with the most sincere feelings ends up being the one he chooses-either way he chooses one, and by the end of the series, no matter how close they get, nothing happens and the tug of war over his heart continues.
So its great to see a show that does it well, and gives an ending we can be truely happy with.
So a HUGE thanks as always, and im off to watch the Shigofumi 13 ova you guys released-added thanks for that as well xD
