It’s been a while since the last update, so I guess I should get you guys up to speed.
Special A 13 has a new OP and ED, so please expect delays. I personally don’t like either of the songs. The ED in particular is gonna take a while to translate because quite frankly, the singer sucks. I didn’t bother to check who sang it, or listen to it a second time, but it’s definitely worse than the normal Special A OP. It sounded like the same person from the first OP (the voice actress for Hikari, Yuuko Gotou). Hard to believe she outdid herself if it really was her singing it.
As for the show itself, it’s starting to focus more on Akira now (much to my enjoyment). I’ll let you guys watch the new OP/ED, episode 13, and preview for episode 14 to see where they’re going with her.
And in another staff related note, I will be out of town on July 8th and 9th for a business related trip. I don’t know if it will affect work on Special A 14, but the show is kind of in limbo since our translation checker is on and off after that robbery. I’ll let you guys know as we get closer to that date, most likely in the Special A 13 post.

Edit: We will not be doing the kara for Special A until the official singles come out, because I frankly don’t understand what they’re singing for half the lines. Especially the Engrish. It’s honestly quite pointless to have a karaoke where most of the lines are wrong, so I won’t bother with them until later on. Also, it’s incredibly tedious to correct and modify karaoke scripts. Are the people in Special A incapable of singing or something? I was hoping they’d replace the OP, though not to replace it with just another crappy song lol.

Just watched/listened to the new OP/ED from the raw.
Well, I’ll agree that the song in the OP isn’t necessarily great (actually it’s pretty stupid), but at least the person appears to be able to sing.
As for the ED, I think all 3 girls are singing it, though I think Yuko Goto has the lead. And yes, it’s braindead as well.

To everyone who is confused by who is singing the OP and ED, it is the cast of the SA.
They just switched the OP and ED; the guys sing the OP while the girls sing the ED.
I don’t mind that they sing bad because as you listen to both songs again and again, you’re used to it.

I honostly could not care less if an anime doesnt have kara for the op/ed and I dont understand people who get upset for not having it. So yeah, if I ever subbed anime I definitely would not bother doing kara until the singles with the lyrics came out since Im so horrible at understanding/figuring out lyrics anyhow.

LOL. The first OP and ED are quite cheesy but after hearing them for 12 times (most of the time I didn’t bother skipping) I found myself singing along to the songs. Have you guys ever hated a song but find yourself singing every single line of that song? *shudders*

Yuko Goto should stop singing leads. I thought it was badwhen she did Koi no Mikuru Densetsu but S.A are terrible songs. The only song shes done thats half decent was Butler Switch On!.

Odd that they changed the OP and ED, and just when I was used to the OP and ED, they come with a 2nd. But seeing you said it’s bad. I guess I wouldn’t enjoy it and rather skip the OP and ED and watch the Episode itself.
