Hi, guys! Merry Christmas to you all. I’m writing this post because m33w needs your help. As you may already be aware, we normally have a no-donation policy. Unfortunately, advertisements alone cannot cover cover our server costs. We honestly make VERY LITTLE from the ads.
Currently, our main distro guy, Waryas, pays for the server out of his own pocket. We want to move to a better server, as the current one doesn’t have satisfactory international speeds. (The server in question is separate from this website server) The monthly costs are still about the same, which is about 58 euros. However, he doesn’t have enough money to cover the setup fees. He needs a balance of 38 more euros to cover the setup fee in moving the server. That is roughly 55 USD after paypal tax and conversion costs.
So, the amount we need is 55 USD, which is quite a fair price, don’t you think? Please click the paypal link below to donate. You will be donating to Waryas’s paypal account. He’s the person in-charge of our server. Without this server, you will get no bittorrent seeding. That is bad. You will be paying for one of these OVH servers. The only thing you’ll get for donating is our continued service in subbing.

You guys are such hypocrites. You guys were bashing Baka-Wolf for taking donations and look now what’s happening. The amounts may differ but the principle is still the same.

If you really think it’s the same as Baka-Wolf then think twice :
– We’re not going to ask this monthly, it’s a one time situation because OVH is requiring setup fees now and i can’t afford going over 60e/month for a server.
– I’ve been paying FROM MY OWN POCKET for the past year for the current server m.3.3.w is using as a seedbox and workftp.
So yes, asking for a little help isn’t gonna hurt that much, is it ?
As soon as i get the required amount, I’ll notify xess to take down the donation button and edit this post.

well, you can call us hypocrites or whatever. I’m not gonna deny those allegations or whatever since we’re going against our policy.
Like scp4ever said though, we left bakawolf because of the terrible mismanagement of funds. Plus the the $1800USD donation target honestly frightened the living daylights out of me. I decided to pull out because I was frightened more than anything actually. Like, how could any one of us cover a shortfall of like $1000?
However, here, we try to be thrifty. This webserver only costs $10 USD per month. The advertising is enough to cover that. However, our bt server costs quite a bit more. Around $70 or $80 USD per month depending on exchange rate. That one we cannot cover with advertising, so it’s paid straight out of Waryas’s pocket. However, he isn’t made of money, and he doesn’t have enough to cover the setup fee for the server. So, we have no choice but to be hypocrites and accept donations.
The donations will close once we reach the target amount, which is only a little more.

Baka-Wolf funds were used for personal reasons. That was our issue with it. Any donations received go entirely for the purposes of fansubbing.

I threw 5$ your way because i’m really poor and that is all i can do. ^_^ But i love fansubbers and 5$ is a pittance, so give these guys some cash and stop your whining cause it is a small amount, and the service they provide us is fantastic.
Also how many folks download from this site? If you spread the cost out over all the users it would probably equate to a few cents a person, so i don’t consider this too much of compromise as far as your policy of no donations is concerned.

We get about 10,000 unique visitors daily. Fairy and Ran aren’t very popular shows, so we don’t get that many downloads for that. We’re slower than other groups for Capu2 and Chaos;Head, so numbers aren’t great for those either.
But, if you spread the costs among all the downloaders, it’s probably less than a penny per person per month. Quite a good deal really.

Hey, the case for Baka-Wolf is totally different, the person in charge make use of the donation money for personal needs without proper announcement to the public, though there is good reason behind it, it is still kinds of cheating a company funds for personal interests. And the action itself had completely defiled the policy of the donations.
And so to whoever start bitching and still continue to leech, you youself are a better hypocrite than the one you complained.

I haven’t seen ep 10 of Chaos;Head yet, but besides the Iwazaru line change, I also want to ask about Minako (8:31). I tried looking through character names online (ANN & Wikipedia) & even replayed it over & over, but I couldn’t find nor hear anything bout Minako. Didn’t get answered cuz it was buried 6 comments ago.
Thank goodness the next is the last of Earl & Fairy! It doesn’t suck, but it isn’t compelling either. Lydia & Ed are unconvincing both as a couple & as leads for the series. Kelpie & Nico do a better job…& they’re just extras. I’m rooting for Ulysses to finish them all. lol
For m33w to stick unwavingly to their “no donation” policy is realistically impossible. With the world economy in the toilet, to quote REM: “everybody hurts sometimes.” It won’t be the first, & it won’t be the last either. It’s still reasonable. They seem to be savvy in selecting the most cost efficient price to continue their work considering how much people leech from their servers. As long as they’re transparent with what they do with donations, we don’t have the right to complain, unless we’re the actual donators. Now if it gets into the BILLIONS of $$$, then ask the US Congress for bailout money. lol

sorry for the bashing on ya, but if ya knew the real story behind the baka-wolf incident it was alot different.
m33w is doing this for the SERVER
Baka-wolf’s captain(or other leading official, cant remember who) had some really hard times at that time, his house had just burned and he had a family andd kids to feed adn shelter. so he took a few donations to help his family out, but he did not announce it to the people donating to the site.
m33w left because he used the money for personal gain, even though the reason was noble. it was just against the policy of theirs i guess.
if i could id throw ya the whole 55 USD but sadly i dont have a paypal account anymore (identity fraud)
