The twelfth and final episode of Earl and Fairy (or Hakushaku to Yousei in Japanese). This final episode took a while to do since people were a little busy over the Christmas/New Year break. I’m quite happy with the work we’d done on this project. It was quite decently done, in my opinion. The show itself too was pretty enjoyable for me. There is still much story to be told with Earl and Fairy, so perhaps, there’s some hope for a second season. Unfortunately, I don’t think the show is popular enough to warrant that.
Also, the first volume of the DVD is out, which includes the first two episode. We’re releasing that too. The DVD encodes will only be in h.264 in the matroska container. The OP and ED themes are in separate files, in a system we refer to as ordered chapters. It may not work well with all players other there, but it does save a lot of diskspace and bandwidth for us. To get it to run right, we recommend using a player like Media Player Classic and along with a codec pack like CCCP or K-lite. Those have everything you need to play those files. If the h.264 performance isn’t up to scratch, download CoreAVC h.264 decoder. It’s efficient enough to run 720p files smoothly on low end systems (albeit one with a decent graphics card). Earl and Fairy DVDs aren’t in 720p, though, so don’t worry about that.
Next, I’d like to thank everyone who helped me with the Earl and Fairy project: asagao, ichigo, BiGGuY, and ThaEagle. The ones who helped distribute the releases: Waryas, xshadowfire, Kile, and all you seeders. Also to the QC team and whoever I missed. And lastly, to all of you for watching and your positive comments. Thank you.
Lastly, as for other projects, KgnE OVA 04 will probably be ready shortly. Capu2 is moving… slowly. Negima OVA 02 is not moving at all. One Outs… I think it’s safe to say we have to drop that. Well, look forward to next season’s project, I guess. I don’t think I’ll personally be translating any projects next season, since the line-up is too small, and I might be a little busy. Either way, I’ll be helping mango do Munto, I suppose. That’s all, enjoy.

Thank you so much for subbing the Earl and Fairy series. It’s been a joy to watch. I wish it had run longer. I hope there will be a second season, but I won’t hold my breath for it.
I’m grabbing a copy of the episode 12 release. Then I’ll grab a copy of the DVD releases. I’m a little confused about what you said regarding the separate OP and ED files. But I’m sure I can figure it out eventually.

There’s obvious quality difference in Hakushaku to Yousei’s TV and DVD, but besides that, anything else?
Also, the ending was really confusing, or as xess said, has a hell lot of stuff missing. Good stuff regardless but doesn’t exactly top anything.

I’m really glad you worked on Earl and Fairy because I think you did an excellent work. The great quality you offer is still amazing. The differences between those TV release and DVD release are stunning! Thank you for sharing those too.
It’s a pity the show isn’t popular, though I know it’s really not liked enough. But it does need a second season. Earl and Fairy is worth 24 episodes to be clear. Too many questions are left without any answers. But well, I enjoyed it a lot, thanks to you!

Earl & Fairy easily became my favorite show. I only found out that it was going to have only 12 episodes around episode 10. I was thinking that was impossible to conclude the anime within 2 episodes, and my guess was right. There is so much to explore and to reveal, that I really hope they make a second season.

Thanx 4 The Subs on this series, it was a good one despite what other people said. They just had continued it from episode 12, they weren’t thinking. This deserves a season 2 to finish everything and leave un-answered questions.
On another note, why make a ecchi show and censor it, it’s like hentai with bats covering the good parts LOL. Mha bad for that one, still gonzo is just loosing it.
