Hey guys! Been a while since our last release. This is the first of our projects for this season, Munto TV, or officially known as Sora wo Miageru Shoujo no Hitomi ni Utsuru Sekai. Yeah… the title was a bit long, so we decided to label it Munto instead. Why Munto? Well, this show is a TV adaptation of the OVA released several years ago, which was called Munto. We’re doing the TV series, so please don’t confuse it with the older OVA.

@Chimasternmay: You don’t need to rewatch the OVA… or for anyone who haven’t watch the OVA, don’t watch it now, unless you want less enjoyment out of the TV series or want to know the big story asap. The OVA is like a spoiler for the TV series.
It’s basically the same stuff but generally with better quality than the old OVA. Like comparing a Gundam Seed tv with its special edition (which is like a condensed version of the tv series), the difference is that this time the TV series is newer than the ova thus have better quality.
(At least based on ep.1… don’t know if they would change the story midway through…).

Well, I was shocked when I came by to see you subbing this show. I have watched the 2 Munto (I don’t know if you should refer to them as movies?) but I did read on another website that these first episodes are basically identical to the previous releases so no need to watch them ๐ I hope this picks up where the second Munto release left off ๐ I’m really excited and happy you are subbing this Thanks Guys!

Your mum, and ayako seem to share a few staff members in the past, or thats my understanding of it. This would explain Ayako having Your mum releases on their site.
As far as im concerned person/persons put time and effort into subbing, so pretty much without exception i believe we have no right to complain.
People watch fansubs pretty much for 1 of 3 reasons. 1st they cant understand it without subs(me)
2nd subbed episode was easier to get hold of than raw
3rd they like seeing the translated and styled release of a sub(karaoke and sometimes tl notes)
Most probably for the 1st reason. Ayako and M.3.3.W have worked together for sometime now, i would hate to see that fall apart.
Thanks for the release, looking forward to rosario when you get it done as well. I know you lost interest in it when it became the censored release, so i thank you even more knowing this.

first off: thank you very much for the show.
but i just watched this episode and i must say the soundquality is horrid.
but dont get me wrong i love your work bigtime and i appriciate the big and hard work there is behind every release you do.
but in this instance the soundquality is just bad.
i hope you can improve on that in the next release.

@img03 – no, the sound will not be improved in the next episode. We can’t make the audio sound better than the original. Please check your codecs and make sure you have the latest ones to play AAC audio. The problem most likely lies on your end.

Thank you sooo much for the release. I was waiting for someone to do this series since I had never seen it before and I loved it!!! Its nice to know someone reliable is doing a good series. I can’t wait for the next episode.

it’s kinda hard to explain. When you open up the broadcast stream, you’ll notice that it’s always at a very high resolution, usually 720 or 1080. Some come in pillar+letter boxes, but most are just stretched out to fill the entire broadcast stream’s capabilities. That’s how the raw providers give you 720p raws, and may seem like the native res. Often, you can tell that it’s not the native resolution because of the blurriness.
It all depends on the copy the studios give the broadcasting station. You’ll notice, if you follow our shows, we tend to use the Teletama broadcast a lot. We used it in Chaos;Head, Earl and Fairy, and now, Munto. You’ll notice a significant difference in quality between Chaos;Head and the other two. If you open up the transport stream, the difference in resolution between shows isn’t much, but the difference in picture quality and clarity is extremely noticeable. And remember, they all come from the same broadcaster.
Based on the picture quality, the encoder will judge the most optimum resolution and produce a video from there. That is basically how we decide on the resolution we release at.

Thanks for subbing. Unfortunately, I just saw the 2 OVAs & since the series is just basically a retelling of those, I’d have to pass on it. The 1st is like 1/3 of the 1st OVA so probably the last few episodes will give closure to those waiting for a 3rd OVA since it was cut short w/ the 2nd.
How do I put this kindly? It’s like watching an incredibly short & lame version of Inuyasha. Yumemi’s too much of a downer. Munto looks more like a demon king than a celestial one & doesn’t really soften up until the 2nd OVA. (Speaking of celestial beings, wouldn’t that sound Gundam 00ish instead of heavenly people) lol
Nothing against you guys & I don’t mean any disrespect, but I think I’d rather watch White Album since it has that True Tears vibe going for it. There really aren’t any dramas to pick this season. Maybe I’ll just wait for the batch to see the ending. Thanks again though.

I will get straight to the point and say THANK YOU SO MUCH for bringing this series to the fans who’ve been dying for a new installation since the last 2 Munto OVAs (such as yours truly). It’s been a long wait. So we got a TV series instead of a 3rd OVA… that’s okay. There will probably be further recaps for a few more eps before any new materials will be shown. I’ll just sit tight.
