@elle: there are some new scenes if you watch it carefully. although the plot is still the same, they added some things to make it easier to understand. i’m sure after they redo up to the second ova (maybe after episode 6ish) we’ll get some new stuff.

Himie: I don’t recommend you or anyone that following the TV series to watch the OVAs’, because basically till right now everything is the same (but the TV version does have added content and better visual). So unless you want to be spoiled, then don’t watch it.
I just hope that they can keep the quality when they pass the OVA storyline… since I believe this is the first time they have done two simultaneous TV animation. Right now they have the OVAs’ material to help them, but if they stay at their current pace, there would be probably a month worth of overlap (between this and Clannad AS).

What do you mean KyoAni animates in their own style? Munto is one of the first work from KyoAni, and afaik this is their own style. Munto I believe is the only original ip that KyoAni have ever done and on top of that I think it’s also owned by KyoAni. Some people criticize KyoAni for never doing original work (apart from the Munto OVAs’).. so this will be somewhat a proving ground for KyoAni whether they can make something good that is original or not.

@silvermoon: I agree, I’m pretty sure we’ll see something new only after the 6th eppy or so.. and I really hope it’ll go somewhere towards the Escaflowne direction with tons of adventure, intrigues, and a sweet portion of romance ^^
