As mentioned before, we’re doing One Outs as an additional project to fill in the fansubbing gaps. And, just as we announced, someone else releases. How nice of them. Either way, we’ll do this project in our spare time, so no promises on timely releases or whatever. Though, we are awfully slow on Rosario, aren’t we? Oh, well…

Available in two flavours as usual, h264 720p at 333MB and XviD 396p at 233MB. The h264 version is entirely softsubbed, including the typesetting and karaoke. If you can’t see the Japanese fonts in the ending song, that just means you don’t have Asian fonts installed. This is also a minimum effort project, so don’t expect anything fancy or whatever in it.

Anyway, please enjoy One Outs. If you enjoyed Akagi and Kaiji, you’ll probably enjoy this too.

    Ohh!! Thank you so much for subbing One Outs!! I had a really hard time trying to figure out the RAWS. Was really hoping that some decent fansubs group will consider subbing it and you guys came in~ ♥

    I’ll be supporting your Chaos;Head and One Outs!~

  16. Awesome that you guys released this anime! Since you’re quality is way better that the other fansub, now i know One Outs is going to be well taken care of =)

    ” And, just as we announced, someone else releases.”

    Stating an Unspoken Rule – No “Claiming” Projects, that’s really ridiculous.

    Something dodgy is going on with the subs when the ED starts. SMplayer hangs right when the ED starts, so I tried it in mplayer (same thing, but without a neat little shell providing all kinds of goodies) and it crashed as well.. but only IF I enable the subs.

    So it would be nice if you could look into this 🙂
    (and if anyone replies to this, No I do not consider VLC an alternative and pretty much anything else wont run on Linux)

    It’s probably because you don’t have Japanese fonts installed. Just extract the subs out of the mkv, and remove the kanji. Or, install Asian fonts and it should run fine.

    @blaablablaa

    And that’s not my point, fool. We were doing it because no one else was doing One Outs. The moment we decide we’re going to do it, someone else does it. Why didn’t they say something earlier? Sheesh.

    The other group doing One Outs still isn’t sure if they shall continue doing it. But you will, won’t you?

  24. xess
    9:50 am on October 26th, 2008

    We’ll continue doing it as long as we have some spare time. Or until some major and reliable group wants to take it.

    @Axeia

    What xess said. I use (S)MPlayer in linux too and everything works fine here. Install Japanese/Asian fonts and choose utf-8 subtitle encoding in the preferences.

    And thanks m33w staff for bringing us One Outs. I hope you won’t drop it (except maybe if some other good group starts subbing it). Take as long as you need. You don’t need to deliver it on a weekly basis. I’m just happy to have quality subs for it.

    Even before installing the ifntasia package I could read websites in kanji just fine and my mp3 list is showing things like “揷傑傒 – Beehive” without any problems as well, but I installed the package anyways.

    Didn’t help though, still crashes :< (Doublechecked utf8, but already had it on)

    First time this has happened and I watch tons of shows, the opening of Macross Frontier (from GG) also has kanji softsubs which don’t let smplayer crash.. any special non japanese signs used or something?

    the atmosphere of this anime reminds me of Hikaru no Go, the plot isn’t anything special, but for some reason it’s just incredibly exciting ^_^

  32. Oh man, this made my day! Thank you so much guys — I’m not really into any of the other anime you’re subbing, but this one’s a real winner 😀 Very glad you took it on, even if it’s just a side project.
