Yes, we know we said that Chaos;Head is our highest priority project of the season. That doesn’t mean we can churn it out in under 24 hours. There are many factors which make it impossible to get it out that quickly. But, we try to get everything as correct as possible, including obtaining the best possible raws and researching the special terms used in Chaos;Head.

I can’t believe some people are actually disappointed that Earl and Fairy gets released before Chaos;Head. Not like I can make Chaos;Head air earlier than Fairy. I’m sorry, but we have no such powers as to change broadcast times. If you want Chaos;Head faster, contact the Madhouse studio and extort them for the episodes.

Anyways, we made some encoding changes to episode 03. There were many dark scenes so some grain was applied there to make it more aesthetically pleasing. The filesize for the h264 for this episode is 400MB and the xvid 233MB. However, please note that Chaos;Head is 27 mins per episode, which is about 2 or 3 minutes longer than standard.

Enjoy.

Here is Chaos;Head 02. We had a lot of encoding and typesetting issues that delayed this, as well as our other two shows. And just as a reminder, we will also be releasing a v2 of Chaos;Head 01 with a few minor changes and fixes based upon viewer feedback.

Changed stuffs for ep1v2:

We’re v2ing due to consistency for later episodes, the main changes you should notice from now on are:

Ensuu is not EMS (the abbreviation of the game in English), nor Ensue (which was what the games translators decided to translate it to, they thought it was an English word D:), but rather it’s just a simple abbreviation of the romanized version of the name of the game Empire Sweeper Online. The extra ‘u’ is added because the Japanese has a habit of abbreviating things to four syllables. Since EMS is causing confusion, we’re just going to put Empire Sweeper as a full reference.

E n su u = Enpaia Suuipaa Onrain + u (to complete the 4 syllables habit)

Secondly, the infamous line sono me dare no me, we translated it to “Those eyes… whose eyes are they” while the game translators translated it to “Whose eyes are those eyes”. Since both of them sound fairly awkward, we decided to go with “Whose eyes are those”.

Finally, there are some minor tweaks in the v2, like the change of raw to a transport stream, fixing some typesetting, but they are not as important as the two mentioned above.

Cheers!

P.S. <@Mango-chan> RIMI IS MAI WAIFU

Hi guys! This took a little longer than expected. I’d personally like to thank ThaEagle who worked over 24 hours(!!!) on the typesetting to get Chaos;Head done. Simply a monstrous effort.

So, what is Chaos;Head about? Apparently, it’s a psychological thriller based on the visual novel game. Takumi is a recluse geek who lives by himself in a container. He’s a bit schizophrenic and his delusions start to get very real. Ah, I’m not sure how else to describe it. Just download it, okay?!

We also have some sad news to report. We are breaking off the joint project for Toaru Majutsu no Index with Eclipse. One of our primary roles in the joint was to provide a transport stream, but we are no longer able to do so. This basically means that we’re not really contributing to the joint, so there is no need to continue it. Don’t worry though, Eclipse will continue to sub the show so please support them.

Earl and Fairy (Hakushaku to Yousei) will also be released within 24 hours.
